This site is a collective effort of private citizens from around the country. We are a diverse group, both professionally and politically. We have come together because we believe that (a) our schools, by their very nature, are failing our children and our society, and (b) we need to transform our education system using a completely different paradigm—self-directed learning—that is in tune with how children naturally learn.

We’ve invested a considerable amount of personal time and effort in the creation of this site because we’re driven by a strong and urgent need to improve the educational landscape NOW, because every child’s future is precious, and every year in the current system is another year’s worth of better opportunities lost. We want to encourage people to: ask vital questions about how education is currently handled; consider the merits of self-directed learning as a viable alternative; and weigh practical options they may not have known about previously. We invite everyone who cares about these issues to join the movement. You can also support these efforts with a tax-deductible donation.

If you have additional questions about self-directed learning after reading the content on this site, you may find them answered in the extensive FAQ section.

If you would like to contact us for any reason, please send an email to . Please bear in mind that this site is a voluntary effort; nevertheless, we will do our best to answer correspondence in a timely manner.
